Longer Version
1 Paul, a prisoner of Yeshua Messiah, unto the brethren which are in Corinth, greeting.
2 Being in the midst of many tribulations, I do not marvel if the teachings of the evil one spread quickly. For my Yeshua Messiah will hasten his coming, and will set at nought (no longer endure the insolence of) them that falsify his words.
3 For I delivered to you in the beginning the things which I received of the holy apostles which were before me, who were at all times with Yeshua Messiah: namely, that our Yeshua Messiah was born of Mary, who is of the seed of David, the Holy Spirit being sent forth from heaven from the Father to her, so that he might come into this world and redeem all flesh by his flesh, and raise us up from the dead in the flesh, just as he has shown us in himself as an example.
4 And because man was formed by his Father, he was therefore sought when he was lost, that he might be made alive by adoption. For to this end did the Almighty Elohim who made heaven and earth first send the prophets to the Jews, that they might be drawn away from their sins. For he planned to save the house of Israel. Therefore he conferred a portion of the spirit of Messiah upon the prophets and sent them to the Jews first, and they proclaimed the true worship of Yahweh for a long period of time.
5 But the prince of iniquity, desiring to be God, laid hands on them and slew them, and bound all flesh by evil lusts, and the end of the world by judgment drew near.
6 But the Almighty Elohim, who is righteous, would not cast away his own creation, and sent his spirit into Mary, so that by that flesh whereby that wicked one had brought in death, by the same he [?] should be shown to be overcome. [The verse's middle clause stands at the enlargement limit; see the recovery record.]
7 For by his own body Yeshua Messiah saved all flesh and restored it to life, so that he might show forth the temple of righteousness in his body, whereby we are saved, in whom if we believe we are set free.
8 Know therefore that they who agree with them are not children of righteousness, but children of wrath, who reject the wisdom of Yahweh, saying that the heaven and the earth and all that are in them are not the work of Yahweh. They therefore are the children of wrath, for cursed [is he who follows?] [?] the teaching of the serpent, whom you should drive out and flee from their doctrine. For you are not children of disobedience, but of the well-beloved church. Therefore, the time of the resurrection is proclaimed to everyone.
9 And as for that which they say, that there is no resurrection of the flesh, they indeed shall have no resurrection to life, but to judgment, because they do not believe in him that is risen from the dead, not believing nor understanding. For they do not know, O Corinthians, the seeds of wheat or of other seeds, how they are cast bare into the earth and are corrupted and rise again by the will of Yahweh with bodies and clothed. And not only that body which is cast in rises again, but many times more blessing itself.
10 And if we must not take an example from seeds only, but from more noble bodies, you know how Jonah the son of Amathi [as printed?], when he would not preach to them of Nineveh, but fled, was swallowed by the sea-monster. After three days and three nights Yahweh heard the prayer of Jonah out of the depths of hell, and no part of him was corrupted, not even a hair nor an eyelash [?].
11 How much more, Oh you of little faith, shall he raise you that have believed in Yeshua Messiah, just as he himself arose. In like manner also a dead body was cast upon the bones of the prophet Elisha by the children of Israel, and he arose in his body. So also shall you on that day [?] rise again with your flesh whole, just as he rose [?].
12 In the same way concerning the prophet Elisha, he raised up the widow's son from death. How much more shall Yeshua raise you up from death at the sound of the trumpet, in the twinkling of an eye? For he has shown us an example in his own body.
13 If, then, you receive any other doctrine, Yahweh shall be a witness against you. Let no man trouble me, for I bear these bonds that I may win Messiah. I therefore bear his marks in my body so that I may attain to the resurrection of the dead. And whosoever abides in the rule which he has received by the prophets and the holy Gospel, shall receive a reward. And whosoever transgresses those things [?] shall receive fire, and they likewise who [walk?] in the same way, who are men without Yahweh, whom you must reject in the power of Yeshua, and peace, grace, and love shall be with you. ========================================================================
Shorter Version
1 Paul, a prisoner of Yeshua Messiah, unto the brethren which are in Corinth, greeting.
2 Being in the midst of many tribulations, I do not marvel if the teachings of the evil one spread quickly. For my Yeshua Messiah will hasten his coming and will set at nought [?] them that falsify his words.
[Verses 3-7 of the Shorter Version stand on p. 479 in the same large print; their wording follows the Longer Version closely with the shorter's own compressions. Readings settled from the photograph: v. 3 "...namely, that our Yeshua Messiah was born of Mary, who is of the seed of David, according to the flesh, the Holy Spirit being sent forth from heaven from the Father to her, so that he might come into this world and redeem all flesh by his flesh, and raise us up from the dead in the flesh, just as he has shown us in himself as an example." v. 4 "...he conferred a portion of the spirit of Messiah upon the prophets and sent them to the Jews first, and they proclaimed the true worship of Yahweh for a long period of time." v. 5 "But the prince of iniquity, desiring to be God, laid hands on them and slew them, and bound all flesh by evil lusts, and the end of the world by judgment drew near." v. 6 "But the Almighty Elohim, who is righteous, would not cast away his own creation, and sent his spirit into Mary in Galilee, who believed with all her heart and received the Holy Spirit in her womb, so that by that flesh whereby that wicked one had brought in death, by the same he should be shown to be overcome." Remaining short-version verses on p. 479 stand at the enlargement limit in places and are marked in the recovery record.]
